As you all probably already know, there are three of us behind printintin. We are a close-knit team of friends and stationery lovers at the same time. Together we complement each other perfectly, but at the same time we are each completely different and thus bring a different energy to printintin. That is why we would like to introduce ourselves to each of you separately. We already introduced you in April Anička , this time we will focus on my little one.
If I had to introduce myself, I would probably characterize myself as a girl with her head in the clouds, who has a lot of dreams, but she prefers to plan those dreams and think about how to turn them into reality. I love to be in the company of my friends, but also to be holed up alone at home with a book. I love to travel, but also the place where I live. I can be overly optimistic and sometimes pessimistic. And somehow there is a bit of everything in me. Something less and something more.
Like Anička, I answered a few questions for you. So make yourself comfortable and start reading.
What are you up to at printintin?
Despite the fact that most people hate them, I love emails. So you will usually come across me if you send us a question or comment. I also try to control the administration, distribution, website, blog writing, sending newsletters and I also really enjoy coming up with the concept of new products.
What do you do besides printintin? How do you spend your free time?
If I manage to grab a moment for myself, I really like to read, take care of my 54 maids, walk around Prague and admire its beauty, eat or lie exhausted in bed and either watch Friends or play The Sims.
Which printintin products do you like the most?
Geez, there are! Actually, probably all of them 😀 In general, I like the funny ones, but if I have to name specifically, then probably all of them stickers and to-do sheets that help me every day either when creating my bullet journal or at work.
The happiest moment you experienced thanks to printintin?
For me, it was clearly the baptism of our first book For the Love of Scripture. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of publishing a book. I never thought that it would really come true, or that it would be about calligraphy. I am all the more glad that I was able to work with Kačka and Anička on it. Well, at the christening, I was surrounded not only by my printintin girls, but also by other people from the editorial office who helped us, my whole family and friends. We celebrated it together very nicely and I remember it very fondly.
But we experienced a lot of those beautiful moments. I really like such mundane things - when we come up with new ideas, laugh at the situations we get into and especially the friendship we have with the girls. In the end, perhaps the best part of it all is when I remember every ordinary day that I can do what I enjoy and fulfill the most.
Not everything is always sunny, can you tell us about a moment that didn't go well at printintin?
Actually, I can't think of anything major. If I don't count some mistakes in printing or communication, I can't remember anything serious. In the event that something fails, we always try to look at it as a lesson that we know for next time.
What motivates you the most?
My bullet journal. It is like my brain on paper and I have all my wishes, plans, tasks and memories in it. But the most motivating thing for me is the vision board I have created there.
What would you advise someone who also wants to start a company with their products?
Definitely go for it. It's often said that you should do things with your heart, but I think that's bullshit. Be sure to do things with your heart, but also use your brain.
The second piece of advice I would give is don't stick to perfection or you'll never achieve anything. (Just like our print says Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. ) I don't mean to release products that are not perfect, but remember that you can never catch all the mistakes and the little imperfections are what make things beautiful.
